Joyce Milandu is perusing a degree in neuroscience from the University of Maryland, where she is on the Dean’s list.  She also teaches French in an after-school program at a local elementary school. She holds the Maryland Seal of Biliteracy in French.   She is a freelance portrait photographer.  Joyce founded the Lab Literacy Magazine and is the head photo editor for The Tide. She has planned and organized programming, moderated discussions and coordinated events for the Black Student Union at the University of Maryland.
